Skills programmes offer ETD practitioners the opportunity to really master the skills required for their different roles. A skills programme consists of several unit standards covering a specific function of an ETD practitioner.
By doing a skills programme you willl master the required skills, get an in-depth understanding of the principles and procedures and at the same time gather credits towards your OD ETD Practices qualification.
A Skills Programme based on seven unit standards designed for SDFs
For inexperienced SDFs we offer a comprehensive Mastering Skills Development Facilitation Programme done in three modules over a period of six weeks. You will gain an in-depth understanding of the skills development environment, including outcomes-based education and training and quality assurance matters. This training is available as an in-house course for organisations or sectors only.
Who should be trained as an SDF?
This course is meant for those perons who have been working as SDF's for less than a year and thus have not gone though the entire process. We will assist you to understand the principles and theory and to present your evidence of competence for assessment purposes.
What entry qualification is needed?
We recommend that persons doing these courses have a post matric qualification and understand the training enviroment. HR and HRD practitioners will be ideally suited.
How long does it take?
The course consists of three modules running over a total of six weeks. The learner SDF will attend a module of four days every second week.

Workshop methodology
You are required to participate fully in group and individual learning activities throughout the workshop. You will be encouraged to identify and express your specific learning needs and to contribute to the pool of knowledge from your own experience. The workshop includes a coaching role play.
Assessment
During the workshop and the weeks in between learners will prepare a portfolio of evidence, based on their own organisation, to submit for assessment against the unit standards. As soon as you are found competent, and once the Assessment College has received endorsement from the ETDP SETA, it will issue the necessary certificate. This will prove competence and can be used as evidence for registration with your relevant SETA.

This is a five-day RPL assessment workshop covering all of the seven unit standards for those who have more than one year of experience in SDF work.

Our Master QMS Implementation Skills Programme is based on unit standard 8054: Manage and implement quality assurance systems, NQF level 4 with 8 credits.
THe course is divided into three modules that will run over a period of about 12 weeks. During this time learners will develop their own organisation's quality management system (QMS).
The three contact sessions of three days each, build the learners' skills in a progressive manner. It also assist learners to deal with difficulties they encounter throughout the process and is aimed at real-life problem solving.
